Default Oily Foods And Acne Break Outs

Hello my soul cysters~~~

Now the medical professionals claim that eating certain food don't cause acne, but I beg to differ.I know that my oily skin is hereditary, because my mom has oily skin, even at 52.Also the PCOS don't help it,but it just seems like when I eat foods with oil, either fried or baked,my acne flares up.If I don't eat "greassy"fods, than I don't break out.I actually keep my acne under control just using Neutogena wash, scrub, mask, and astringient. For my acne and tweezing scars,I use hydroquione 6%,and ceptaphil oilfree, fragence free suncreen. With this routine I see alot of results, but I'm tired of these set backs. It never fails, when I eat food that's even baked in grease,I break out.I've decided today,NO more grease.I'm not eating anything that's baked, boiled,or fried in grease..Does anyone else have this problem??
Thanks and God Bless you all~~

I think when I eat oily foods, they are usually breaded or carbs themselves, which flares up my acne. Plus, if you eat oily food and then touch your face inadvertantly, you will break out. It's the same with the chocolate and junk, the sugar is so bad for my hormones!!!

Hey Cec414,
Your right, carbs and "junk food" can cause flare ups,but I was eating a piece of baked salmon that was baked in oil,and it flared my acne up.My things is when I eat anyway foods, whether "healthy" or "junkie" it if was baked of cooked with oil,it causes a problem for my skin.

This is wierd I know but I never had trouble with acne but now with PCOS I do. Sometimes huge acne on my back andI don't know where it comes from. My forehead however is different. It STAYS broke out. I can tell when my insulin is up it it MUCH worse. I can put on acne creme and it does dry it up but it doesn't get rid of it. I have very oily skin from my mom as well. Pous I have bangs. If I sweat any it breaks my forehead out worse. I am SO tired of it but I can't find a way to control it. If I stay away from sugar it does help with the rest of my body.

Hey leachamb,
I have acne of my back,it's actually clearing up,I'm just left with the scars. My face stays clear for the most part unless I eat something with "oil" once again.See chocolate and sugars don't affect me,I know there not healthy, especially since I'm trying to live a "low-carb" lifestyle. It's just the foods with oil in them that cause breakouts.I guess we're all in the same boat, but are sensitive to certain things!!!!

This may sound odd,but the skin is the largest elimination channel, and when our liver, kidney's,or colon is clogged with waste and toxins,it can show up on our face.

Food allergies, cosmetic allergies, and yes oily, and fried food can cause a flare up in some individuals.

I would keep a food diary for a few days to pinpoint exactly which oils and in what amount are causing it.

Hey Journey,
That makes perfect sense.I have kept a close eye for many years on the foods that I eat and when I break out.I notice that it's not all oil, that break me out either. It's very complex, but I understand now what triggers it.I just didn't know if anyone else experienced this type of thing...
