yep, totally. I can't go for more than 24 hours in between washings. That's why I'm addicted to dry shampoo. Love it!

I use this stuff:
Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo
It rocks. I've never used it in the place of shampooing really, just when I needed to stretch the time in between washings if that makes any sense. It works especially good on my bangs. You just shake it up and spray it on (you only need a bit-it looks a bit powdery) and let it set/dry for 2 minutes. Then you brush it out. I heart it so much

It doesn't leave anything behind. You just need to use a bit though. I don't really know of any cheaper versions but then again, I've never looked.
I just googled it. One site suggests sprinkling a bit of cornstarch and then brushing it out. You might want to try that one before a shower in case it's a distaster though!

It lasts quite a while for me. I don't use it regularly though as I'm able to wash my hair every 24 hours. I only use it if I'm going to be out late or want to run to the grocery store but don't want to shower first.
The one on Amazon got pretty good reviews and is about half as much. You might want to try that.

Yup, same problem here. I shower daily, so that kinda helps to keep the grease down. You can also just use baby powder in between washings...if I can't get a shower for some reason, I just sprinkle some in my hair. It doesn't tend to leave any marks or whatever, and it helps A LOT with the grease. Or, you could use the dry shampoo previously mentioned if you don't have or want to use baby powder.

o i definately cant go for more then 24 hours with out shampooing. My hair is fine and i think that makes the oiliness show worse. ( just a theory no proof on that. LOL).

i had never heard of the dry shampoo. I will have to take a look into that.

hugs

Well I've always had oily hair. There is a noticeable difference day to day. Speaking of which I should be getting to my shower.

I had recently read in a magazine article that if you use a natural bristle hair brush as opposed to a synthetic plastic one, it will distribute the oil from your scalp more evenly throughout your hair, rather than leaving all the oil at the roots.

I thought this was very interesting, and it makes sense. The article said it would take a little time, so don't expect a miracle after 1 use. These brushes are also supposed to make your hair healthier.

I know of 2 brands of natural boar bristle hair brushes:

1. Mason Pearson (very expensive (like $100), but supposed to last a lifetime if you take care of it) I would do a search online, or check a high-end beauty salon.

2. Frederic Fekkai (not sure of price), you can get them at some Bath & Body Works.

Yes, I have oily hair as well as oily skin. I hate having my hair look like I haven't showered for days when I wake up. The good thing about oily skin is that I have fewer wrinkles than most 43 year olds. I can't think of anything positive about oily hair. I can't be spontaneous and just get up and go in the morning or late at night. Maybe menopause will be good for us. I try to find the bright side of everything.

My hair gets really oily between washings too. If I'm feeling lazy and will only be out for a little bit I just put it in a ponytail. No one seems to notice.
