Question Oily skin

What helps you deal with the oily skin? I use an oil-free powder foundation. I use oil blotting sheets all day long. It is just the nastiest thing to touch my face and have it feel like a greasy pizza. I have rosacea so I cannot be going around just switching to this and that product. But, is an oil-free foundation the best? I'm also suffering with cystic acne on the traditional places, chin, back, chest, jawline and hairline. All of this on a face that already has rosacea and dermatitis... such a dose of humility.

Anyhow, any thoughts? I'm going to the dermatologist on Thursday so hopefully they will help me get whatever control I again until I know whether or not I can use my eggs. Husband had his SA done today.

Thanks!

Amy

the only thing that got rid of my body acne was the pill. Cliniques 3 step facial care formula stuff helped tone it down.
I use a foundation that is oil control...also by clinique but im pretty sure almay and neutragena make them too. It lasts a long time and keeps my face from getting oily looking.
i hope this stuff helps :/ xox

Thanks for the information. Birth control is not an option at this point.

By the way, I am a vegetarian, too!

I use and oil free ance wash by Neutrogena (I have used for years) and a Blemish Serum (by Philosophy) all over my face. I was going to try Proactive, but with me TTC it was not an option. I have found this regimen to work great. I also wear Bare Minerals foundation. That has cut down on the oil as well. Good luck to you! You might try looking in the Acne forum. There is a lot of good info in there as well.

Hi,

Metformin made a huge difference in my skin. Before I was trying to conceive, I took Spironolactone, which also cleared up my skin - but, it's definitely a no-no if you are not on birth control. Also, my dermatologist made a huge difference. She gave me OTC lotions specifically for "hormonally-imbalanced skin," and injected some of the larger cystic acne.
