Who prescribed the Met? I would call that person. Personally I feel like my gyno would not do much for me because they were not helpful at all in my dx, but it might be different for you!

Hi Britta,

thanks for the reply well it was my family practice doctor, but she is new and to be honest I am not comfortable with her, I went to see her for the pain in my ovary or that's what i think it is and she didn't even check me out or do a pelvic exam instead she gave me 1000mg of met where i am only taking one because i have a not so great appetite anymore and i feel nauseated all the time! so what i went for never got resolved and she put me on something else! she did check my hormones which were out of whack and that i should stay on met to help regulate my cycles. So I don't have very faith in her.I went to an endo years ago and she said that i have pcos.

you might try your re. i also think that 500mg might be a really low dosage, it seems most are on 1000-2000.

yeah the doctor prescribed 1000mg and each dose is 500mg, because i can't stop going to the bathroom and have really bad nausea i have been taking only 1 at dinner to help my stomache get used to it, and i am thinking around mid october i will start taking the second one.I am going to make an appointment with an endo and see what they come up with. Thanks for the advice!
