Default OK.. I am confused

Hey,

Ok.. I was dx in 2004 via blood work and an MRI because my doctor felt that ultrasounds just were giving him and acurate picture of my ovaries. SO now I finally am going to go see a gyn for my other problems and my family MD wanted me to go for an ultrasound to see how they were doing.. Well I saw the report and the last two us say my ovaries are normal???? Is this possible??? I would be thrilled if they were normal but that just means a whole other problem is going on..I don't want to walk into the GYN office and he take a look at the report and say.. oh well there is nothing wrong with your ovaries... I thought these cysts couldn't go away??? Can someone tell me if they have the same thing or not

Thanks
Going crazy

I can't say that this has happened to me, and I have never heard of it happening to any cyster here before. This doesn't mean it's not possible, it's just that I have never heard of it before. Have you tried to search the board or do a google search?

Good luck finding your answer.

You don't have to have cysts on your ovaries, to actually have PCOS. Because it's more of a metabolic issue the symptoms & lab work levels are the more diagnostic tests.

I'm pretty sure that most cysters do have the cysts, but I know I never did (or didn't as of three years ago). My gyn said my ovaries were pretty much normal (maybe even a lil small) but according to my symptomatic presentation and labwork I am most definitely PCOS.

I hope I was able to help some. Good luck with the docs...they can be fun sometimes!!!

The docs tried to tell me that at one point. I switched docs and the new doc said the old doc was wrong. Not saying that is what is happening but that is what happened to me. I hope your doc is right!!!
