Question OK I am confused.

I am taking metformin and birth control. Birth control is supposed to prevent you from ovulating, but I read that metformin sometimes can facilitate ovulation. I assume I am not ovulating because of the birth control, but would being on the metformin cause me to have an increased chance of ovulating in spite of being on the pill?
