Unhappy ok I know this is stupid but.....

I took my meds for the first time 15min ago for pcos and Im sitting here waiting for side effects . I know most likely nothing will happen but I have something else called PTC and ALL the meds for that had caused things like going deaf in one ear, hands and feet going numb so you can understand my fear. so lol would you be so kind and tell me everything will be ok .

Firstly it's not stupid, of course you're going to worry about side effects

Secondly don't sit there waiting for them, you'll bring them on, now go enjoy your new found life!

It's not silly to worry about side effects from meds. If you are taking met you may get an upset stomach but for me that did not happen for a few days. This site has tons of advice about met side effects if they do happen. Good luck!

I agree...nothing is stupid when it comes to your concern for your health. I took met a few years ago and the side affects for me were horrendous. Now that I'm seeing a different doctor, I am sure I will be put back on it and will have to deal with it until the lessen again, but this is your health you are talking about here, so IMO, nothing is stupid. Things will be okay!

karen, it's ok to be apprehensive about taking new meds for the first time, especially if you've had a bad experience in the past. don't feel stupid at all. this forum is a place for support and for you to ask questions. there's a lot of information already posted about side-effects and whatnot; have a look around and feel free to ask as many questions as you like.

what are you on besides met? i know i had some awful stomach upset and bloating from it for the first few days, but it did go away after a week or two.

and if you don't mind me asking, what is ptc? i'm not familiar with it.
