For the gazillionth time in a row...no period. I had a good bcp that was helping regulate, but it was too expensive, and the new generic the Dr put me on had bad s/e. I'm awaiting another appointment. In the meantime..
I want to induce my period using NPC. Please, can someone tell me what to do before, during and after use?
I haven't a clue.
Thanks,

I've been told that you can use npc for 10-14 days and then stop. After you stop you should get AF in about 5 days or so.
This deffinately worked for me!!!!!!!!!!! I took it for only 5 days and today should have been CD29 for me but now it's CD1!! My cycles always run about 60 - 90 days. THE NPC IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BCP"s never helped me. I bought the menopause progesterone cream at walmart for about $8.00. Try it out...
You can use NPC any time of the month, keeping in mind that too much progesterone can stop ovulation so...like firefighters wife said I use mine cd 14 until af comes. Some women stop for 7 days and wait for af, but I continue to use it until af shows up and then I stop. There's really no wrong way to use it, you really cant get too much if you have estrogen dominance like most of us cysters. But just be careful around time of ovulation and you should be fine. Make sure to buy a brand that says Progesterone USP...this is THE most important aspect when buying any brand. It is the only one made to F.D.A. specifications and it has to have a certain mg of progesterone in it. Don't use the ones that contain wild yam extract because it is not REAL progesterone. Any healthfood store will have it, and places like GNC. HTH
The pill doesnt actually regulate ur periods - it shuts down ur ovaries and each month on the pill free days you have a withdrawal bleed not a proper 'period' - the reason my doc put me on the pill orginally was to shut my ovaries down for a while as it prevents more cysts from forming in ur ovaries. it can take a while for ur normal period to return afer u stop the pill - ur hormones will take a whle to sort themselves out.
i'm quite confused at the moment - i stopped dianette in july and have had two periods since then - but this month i had PMT and was convinced i was going to come on, but no period:-( i think it could be to do with stress of coming back up to university and changes in my normal routine - i havent been sleeping properly n havent had chance to exercise as much so my hormones have gone a little crazy - but i'm hoping i'll ovulate this month and have a period soon - its so frustrating - i know what u mean!! good luck with the NPC. let us know if it works!
