Ok...I need advice from my cysters!!!! I don't know what to do!!!
CD60 is tomorrow
If my doc at Student Health can't help me induce AF with provera....should I...
1) take SPI for 5 days, hoping that will induce O
2) use natural progesterone cream for 2 weeks, hoping to induce AF
3) go back on the pill for a month
4) keep waiting for all these herbs to work?!
I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO!

Hi Carrie,
Just wanted to let you known that you're not alone. I'm on CD #57 today and keep waiting for something to happen. I actually just finished 14 days of NPC. Please, oh Please let AF show soon. If not, I don't know what to do next.
I hope you get some good answers on what to try next, wish I could have helped but I just wanted you to know there is someone here that is pretty much having the same type of cycle you are.
Good Luck and keep me posted on what ya decide!
I'm sorry to hear its CD60 tomorrow. I know the feeling. Without knowing your precise situation I wouldn't like to say which option would be best, but what I've done in the past is to just carry on with my chosen regime (lowish carb, supplements and exercise) and simply wait for AF to arrive. I know that it isn't easy to be patient. My longest cycle of all was 76 days and from then on they slowly but steadily got shorter.
One thing I've learnt very recently is how much stress plays a part in bringing on PCOS symptoms. This month I thought that I'd got everying sorted. My cycles were fairly regular and I felt well so I thought that this month would be the same. Then ... around the time of my expected ovulation date I had a bit of a stressful time at work and a few sleepless nights complete with heart palpitations. On a saturday morning when O was 7 days late I decided to go for a relaxing swim then on to a jacuzzi, steam room and sauner and then sure enough that day I O'd.
I'm sorry if I havn't been much help, but good luck anyway and I hope you get a visitor soon!

October 7th!!! I got a referal to see a gynecologist! I hope I'll have AF by then, but if not, they will help me I plan to keep taking herbs though.
Carolyn....I hope you get AF! That would be so frustrating to do the npc regime for 2 weeks for nothing! Let me know what happens...maybe you won't be in the same boat as me for long, but if you are, let's keep in touch cuz I could use a partner in crime to compare notes with
Maggie...I noticed on your signature that you've been off the pill for a year??? That's so great! I am just SO afraid that now that I'm off the pill I will NEVER get my period, like, NEVER. I never paid attention to my cycles when I was younger, except I do distinctly remember my friends calling me "skipper" b/c I would skip between 3-9 months at a time. I got on BC at age 16 and never thought about it again, until NOW Anyways, I'm interested in knowing what your cycles were like as a young lady and how they are now that you're doing the natural thing....
What do you take? Any advice, suggestions?
Well cysters, thanks for your replies...it really means a lot to me! Keep in touch, okay?! Take care.....

Glad to hear you got your appointment. I hope you get a welcome visitor before then!
Before I went on BCP my cycles were about 2 months apart. I never worried about it too much until I was having to shave far too regularly ....... and that teenage acne just didn't want to clear up!
I went on BCP when I was about 22. I stayed on it for seven years until I read Collette Harris's book on PCOS. Up until then I thought that BCP was the only solution. That book opened my eyes to PCOS and I realised that it was possible to help myself and get along without BCP. Also I new that at some stage I would want to TTC and I didn't want to have to take fertility treatment so I thought it would be better to prepare my body for a natural conception.
Before coming off BCP I started regularly exercising and lost a bit of weight.
My first cycle after coming off BCP was 35 days and I thought yay I'm cured! I was taking Vitex, black cohosh & licorice root. Then ... my next cycle was 47 days and the next 76. I continued with the herbs for a few months more and my cycles reduced to around 50 days. Then I must admit I lost a bit of hope with herbs, so I decided to drop the herbs and concentrate on the possibility that I might be IR (BTW my doctor insisted I'm not IR because I am thin). So I started to cut out as many sweet things as I could, and swapped white for brown (rice, pasta). I took supplements chromium gtf, zinc, magnesium, cod liver oil, evening primrose and a multi vit. I also started taking carob powder in the form of two drinks per day. My cycles then reduced to 32 days complete with an ovulation on day 18! I was so excited when my period came, I thought finally my body was functioning normally. I've had two more 32 day cycles since then. This month my cycle is going to be 39 days due to a delayed ovulation.
I hope that this gives you some hope. You really can do it naturally if you are prepared to work at it and find the right regime that works for you.
Best of luck.

I hope AF shows before October 7th, but glad you have an appt. waiting just in case.
Well, still no af for me but I'm kinda feeling like she's on her way. Bloated feeling, sometimes having cramping, backache, headache, zits, and we mustn't forget my mood swings
So...keep your fingers crossed for me please! If this doesn't work I'm not sure what to try next. Only time will tell!
I am doing "ok"...that's it. I am still waiting, and waiting, and waiting for something to happen....I'm still taking bbts every morning and checking cervical position once in a while, yesterday it was LOW, this morning it was higher, and I had lots of watery CM!!!! Maybe ovulation is coming??!?!?!?!?! I'm not going to get my hopes up, but maybe now with a doc's appt I'm finally relaxing and not focusing SO much on Oing or getting AF. I also had my 5th acupuncture appointment and my "organ systems" are balanced now, so we've moved onto "infertility" treatments! I hope that helps...along with all those herbs I'm taking faithfully! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that AF comes, and in a hurry! I bought a CPE monitor from another soulcyster, and I can't wait to start using it once AF comes! Keep me posted as well, it was good hearing from you
Hi!
I've been thinking about trying acupuncture but not too sure yet. There is only one local to me and I know nothing about him or know of no one who has had acupuncture so I'm not sure how to find out if he's recommended or not.
Can you tell me how your appts. work? Any info would be appreciated about the subject. It seems like I'm always deciding to try something! I think sometimes it drives dh crazy, lol.
Thanks for the positive thoughts on af arriving soon for me.
I hope you do ovulate. My fingers are crossed for you. I've been checking my cervix and cm lately too. Haven't had much cm, that's disappointing but hopefully it's just cuz af is coming soon. I've been wanting a cpe monitor but since I'm officially taking a break (yeah right) I'll probably hold off a while longer.
It was great hearing from you, hope good news comes for you soon!
Well...acupuncture is different for everyone, but I'm in the same boat as you (once again There's only one local acupuncturist, so I have no choice but to go to him. He practices Meridian Acupuncture...this is what happened at my appointments....
Checked all my pulse points or "organ systems" to see how balanced they were...the left and right side....about 8 of my 12 organ systems were out of wack and so he treated all those for the first 5 sessions....he checked my pulse points every other appointment and they got better (were more balanced) each time...last appointment was Saturday and they were ALL balanced!!!!! I could tell a difference....I have no acne now, I am very emotional so I think my hormones are starting to work like a "normal" woman...normally I'm not emotional at all!!! Also, I haven't had symptoms of neck pain or TMJ like I always do, AND, have not taken ONE allergy pill since starting acupuncture...I have HORRIBLE allergies, but not anymore! Whew...that was long, so my last appointment, we moved onto "Infertility treatments" and he placed the needles in all different spots...even in my belly, which is embarrassing b/c I am WHITE, FAT, and felt so gross, not to mention he is a HOTTIE! 26 year old cutie pie
The procedure is fairly simple, he places the needles where he sees fit (according to this books he has), then his assistant stimulates them with this shocker thing (doesn't hurt) and then they leave me in a dimmed room for 15-20 minutes...then they take them out and I go home! The needles don't hurt going in most of the time, but they did hurt in my "spleen organ area" which is located in the foot...spleen=hormones and I was all out of whack. He says if it hurts, it's working ?!?!
Well, I hope that answers some of your questions! Your acupuncturist could be totally different, but let me know what you think! Keep your fingers crossed for me that O or AF comes soon! I am getting more inpatient by the day!

I think I may try it soon, dh wants to go with me and do it to. I swear, I think if he could he'd try and induce af too! lol DH is great and supportive! First I have to find out how much it costs.
I know what you mean about losing patience. Each day I keep thinking af is on her way, but nothing, I'm getting frustrated. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for ya. Glad to hear that you are getting balanced out though, that's great!
Have a super day, hope you're next post is either for O or AF.
