Default ok talked to the Dr today...well the assistant anyhow

Well here's what i learned. I'm not insulin resitant (though that really kinda surprises me). They suggest that I go on birth control and something else (maybe it was spiro, I don't remember) but she wasn't sure of the dosage or anything. It was the assistant that I talked to, the dr was out of office. She didn't give me anything definite other then she'll figure out the exact prescription then mail it out. And that I should find a doctor out here and do a follow up in 4-6 weeks. ~shrug~ Now she didn't even say whether I had pcos for sure or not but I'm still assuming yes????

You really need to speak with a doctor. Either speak to that doctor or find a new one. You need to feel comfortable with your care and especially with your treatment. Good luck!

I agree with Heather request a convo or visit with the actual Doctor. Write all your questions down. If you are not feeling they are on the same page as you get another Doc.

My guess is they are finding you PCO if they are considering bcp and spiro but you need to know this for sure. You should also see if being placed on Met is still an option IR or not it does help if you are indeed PCO.

Best of luck I hope you start getting some answers

Hugs

Oh, I have no problem w/ my doctor. It's just difficult cuz he's out of office every time I call, and I'm out of state now for school. So it's hard to sit down and ask him questions. So unfortunately we didn't get to talk about things much at all. My pap smear came back normal so that was good. I already knew I had a bunch of cysts. But yeah, they did suggest I find a dr. while I'm away for school. But they will be sending the prescriptions soon..so I'll find out exactly what I'm taking and the dosage and everything then. The assistant really just didn't know a whole lot I guess to tell.
