okay anyone ever had stomache pain upper right side...
I recently have been having very bad upper middle & right side stomache pain. Been to Dr. a couple of times 1st time no blood in urine & consequently after (supposedly ruled out kidney stones. second time said it was my back but the pain radiates from front. Third time did new labs Lipase to high get a call from Dr. goto ER immediately due to lab results. (He called ahead & cleared me after New labs showed Higher Lipase got ultra sound, & Cat scan only showed ovarian cysts on Left side only & some diverticose. they were looking for gallstones that would cause the pain & lipase to be high. didn't find after keeping me all day. Released me I still had the pain now I am just super sore all over & bloated. Suggested I do a liver cleanse I am doing this right now. Could the cysts have popped on right sides & caused this. Nurse said usually happens mid cycle & I wasn't mid cycle at the time & pain was still there? Does it hurt all at once when they pop or is it a more drawn out type of pain? also feel Naseus like everything is way up in my throat like when you a really pregnant. I am not by the way. okay still trying to solve my mystery ntonight have a small weak pain that seems to pulse loer right side not nearly as bad as it was. Dr. wants me to repeat the lipase next week & if pain gets really bad again goto ER. First 2 Dr.s said it was my back cause I was an overweight Mom who let her abs go. Funny I go to a gym & everything so I hate Dr.'s. Any way just wanted to see what you girls thought.
At first they thought it was kidney stones I started taking magnesium then later Gallstones so I started olive oil & lemon juice.

Have you discussed the idea of a hiatal hernia with your doctor? Google on that and see if that sounds familiar.

Sounds a lot like what I am going through and have been for 3 mos. They have done all the tests for the gall bladder and they all came back negative. I have gotten 2 opionions and your gall bladder can go bad and not show up on tests. I also found out I have a bi-lobal right ovary. So nest Wed. I am having the gall bladder removed and at the same time my Gyn is looking at my ovary, checking for endo. and doing an ovarian drilling. It is by laporscopy.
Don't be affraid to get 2 opions, I have found that doctors all have different ideas for this upper right side pain. I have had to take control of them and research a lot.
I wish you luck. Let me know what you find out and I will post what happens after my surgery.
I've had the same pain on and off for months now and nothing has been found. I had my gallbladder removed almost 10 years ago! So the gb is not the cause of the pain. I have noticed that if I don't follow IR diet the pain increases or reappears after not having any pain for a while. Goodluck, now 2 of us will be interestied to see if they find a cause. (((Hugs)))
Thanks! The Dr. wants me to repeat the Lipase test next week. That's the test that ays your pancreas is working to hard. But supposedly if it is pancreatitis it would have showed on the cat scan. I will keep on trucking going to google hernia I will let you know what happens with tests next week. Thanks again! Dr's make me feel crazy! Like my mind is so great I can imagine I feel the pain I keep telling them if i was that good I would imagine it & fybromyalgia & PCOS away!Forever!

My pain started in that same spot. They thought it was kidney stone, gall bladder, ovarian cyst etc. I went through tests for a year like the ones you describe, except lipase - I don't know what that is. I can feel various lumps in the fatty layer in the area and have small lipomas that are causing nerve pain. I had pain years before in the same spot in front, but it was dismissed and I don't remember feeling any lumps at the time. I'm not saying you have this condition, as it is quite rare, but pay attention just in case. I know several women with PCOS that have it. I want to add that at first the pain felt internal when pressed, it didn't feel like it was in the fatty layer at all like it does now.

Dh just had his gallbladder removed. Although I wasn't the one experiencing the pain sounds similar to what you are describing. He was being treated for acid reflux (the nasuea and food stuck feeling you stated) The nexium wasn't working and he was still experiencing pain in that same area you mentioned. So far so good he had his gallbladder removed and isn't complaning about "that pain" anymore or the acid reflux. GL I sure hope your feeling better soon and your doctors can come up w/ an answer sooner rather than later so you can put this behind you. HTH
