Has anyone tried Olay Total Effects Anti-ageing and anti-blemish cream? I have read mixed reviews about it but some people say that it's good. I have dry skin but with spots all around my mouth/chin/jaw area that just won't go. I'd love to know if it helped anyone with their acne or whether it was terrible!
thank you so much!

I want to try this as well Princess5, but I've about blown my beauty budget this month and would REALLY need a push to buy it. A good review might do that... and I want it!
I have heard that it's a kind of "love it or hate it" kind of product, but that many love it. Some complain of it being greasy, which means it would probably be good for your dry skin. I use the comparable Neutrogena "Anti-Wrinkle, Anti-Blemish Cream" and while it works ok, I HATE the feeling of most Neutrogena products on my face, this one included. I'm more of an Olay girl, as they've made an amazing difference in my skin!
Hope someone answers!

I have been using the Olay Total Effects Ant-Blemish, Ant-Aging for over a month now. I use it at night and Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel during the day. While the Olay product does "feel" a little oily on the skin after a couple of hours, it does not "appear" oily on me. Using it once a day helps to keep my acne under control and my skin is less ruddy. (When I was using it twice a day, I developed dry patches around my mouth and then pimples in the dry patches.) I am content with the condition of my skin for now, but I don't exactly have clear skin. Then again, I never have. With this product, I have fewer blemishes than before I started using the product, and my skin feels comfortable - not dry or itchy.
My routine: AM - Clinique Extra-Strength Soap, Clarifying Lotion #3, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel;
PM - Clinique Extra-Strength Soap, Total Effects Anti-Blemish, Anti-Aging
I used to use other expensive, intense products but decided recently to cut back to something simpler because nothing really seemed to be doing me any good. I had a "mini-peel" type mask (with Glycolic acid) but I would breakout worse each time I used it.
The only Olay Total Effects product I use is their eye cream.
I believe the Olay Regenerist products are their best. I would not go anywhere without them! Their serum and enhancing cream are by far the best products I've used on my face. They are the only things I use before I put on my makeup and my makeup looks great and lasts all day. The Regenerist items have improved my skin ten-fold. They are worth the money and more IMO (and I spend a lot on other products like Dr. Brandt, etc.)
I know this is an old topic, but I couldn't resist
I still haven't tried the Olay Anti-Blemish cream as this blasted tube of the equivalent Neutragena product apparently has no bottom! It just keeps going.
I also like the Regenerist products, but some people can't handle the palm oils that are apparently used to make the peptides. I've only had a problem with their sunscreen product, which isn't a stable sunscreen anyway. I've used and liked the serum, the Thermal Scrub, and now the Microdermabrasion/Peel kit.
Honestly, when I was having a bigger problem with acne the Total Effects line worked best for me. Both the cleansing cloths (which I still use) and the moisturizer (WITHOUT sunscreen, as I use it only at night). Both products contain Niacinamide (sp?), which has been proven to fight acne for some. It sure did for me! The Regenerist serum does at least contain this ingredient, and other products in the line may as well, but there's that pesky palm oil problem. The Total Effects moisturizer is also very light and non-greasy, whereas the Regenerist products tend to be heavier in my experience.
As with everything, YMMV. What works for me might not work for another and vice versa! I do think Olay now makes very high quality products for the drugstore market and are certainly worth trying.
