Most women in the world would not find this exciting, but for the first time in my LIFE AF has arrived 2 months in a row... kind of. Started taking Met in July, In August AF came and stayed for a month. She finally went away on about 9/14 or so and now... she came this morning!!! I am thrilled! I do not know if I O'd or not this month, but this is definitely a step in the right direction! Right now I am on 750 mg of Met, but will be upping it to 1000 mg very soon. Thank you for humoring a crazy woman!!
Pam

I understand also. I am on Met 1000mg and since I started my cycle has been 32-34 days long. I used to be the queen of 120 days or longer. I have ovulated also every month! Congrats!
My periods have been regular now (after years of no periods) for 2.5 years and I STILL do a little happy dance when it comes on time. CONGRATS to you and continued success.

Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I got AF right on time today and i was simply giddy over it! This is the first time its happened since i went off BCP's -- a couple of years ago! I heart Met!!
Congrats! I love it i had 4 in a row last yr once i started it and got pg then after i had ds went back on it and so far i have had af 3 mo's in a row 30 day cycles yes!
Metformin helped me, at age 35, begin having regular periods. I remember at the beginning I was so excited. I would keep track on my calander. It has been two years and the novelty has worn off I have all the PMS too...water weight gain, acne, cramps, moodiness... I really am happy that my body is finally working the way it should. (I guess )

Hee Hee..I can relate, M Allison. I am glad to have my body in working order, but learning to cope with PMS for the first time in my 30's has been a challenge.

my metformin use has not brought dear ole AF around......Yet. But I am soo greatful for Metformin, the improvements i have experienced in my mood swings, saddness and depression, & other issues has been unbelieveable. within the first 3 days of taking 500mg a day i noticed the help it gave me, i felt focused again and not fighting with my self within my head. not to mention clear thinking the first side effects are a pain in the butt (pardon the pun) i am up to 2000mg a day which i believe is treatment level so here is to hoping.
