Thumbs up OMG - I got Met!!

I can't beleive it!! I had an appointment to see a consultant and was gearing up for a major fight on my hands and he ups and offers me Met (he said obviously, he was assuming that I would be looking to be prescribed Met!). He had literature which he gave me to read!!! and he gave me (and DH - he came to support my case) time to discuss things about it and the way forward. I just can't beleive it. There are good and understanding Dr's out there - they are not just a fantasy!!

I'm starting my first week on 1 850mg/day and upping to 2/day at the start of next week to give my body a chance to get used to it. Fingers crossed for a regular cycle/ovulation!!

cheers everyone for replying I appreciate it!

Did anyone suffer from major sickness/runny tummy symptoms at first on Met. I have to admit on the 2tab/day I feel pretty yucky most of the time - although on the up side I've lost 7lb already!! I manage on the one 850mg/day, which I take at night time, so I sleep through the sick feeling, but on 2/day its pretty blah!!! Did anyone else feel this way at first and does it go away?

Hi Scotty,

Yep I had that feeling too and from what I have read it seems a pretty common experience on Met.

The feeling of always being 'unwell' and forever running to the loo stopped after about a month with me. Have only been on it for about 2 months. I still get the sudden urge to run to the loo from time to time, but other than that its fine now.

Oh and .. congratulations on the weight loss
