My 4th day on Metformin and i thought i was in the clear because i have not had any side effects.....But all tonight I just have gas just like pouring out of me , kinda like a SBD but it is non stop and the smell is horrific. Im freaking out cuz i have to go to a family function tomorrow and what if this is going on!!??? I have no shame most of the time but this is a lil much....Is there anything i could do to prevent this or is it part of the package deal with taking Metformin?

Don't eat too many carbs and try Gas x.

Yep..stay away from fatty, greasy or highcarb foods...eat lots of protien, drink lots of water and consider something like Beano or gas X.

Sorry to hear that! I am still grossly gassy... but I find it amusing since I gross DH out with it. Now, don't think I'm gross, I'm just getting him back for all the evil beer and bean gas he's shared with me over the years.
