Default One laser treatment and the hair is gone already?!

I have very dark and coarse hair on my chin, neck (under chin) and on my belly. On the 2nd of January I had my first treatment and only a few of the hairs have grown back. i would say 97% of it is gone already! Is this normal or do they grow back after falling out?

WOOHOOO!
I haven't had it done on my face yet but i've had other parts of my body done. I'm scared to do my face because I have dark complexion so i'm afraid that i will get bad pigmentation.
But the areas where i had it done the hair doesn't grow as fast but it does grow back thin in between treatments. I've had 4 treatments done and was told i needed 5. So far the hair is completely gone but i still see some here and there.
It's awesome feeling though
Keep it up girly!

CONGRATS!!!!!! I also do lazer treatment on my face and neck. Yes they were so dark and ugly that I decided to spend the money. It is definately worth it. I have been going since July. However July Aug and Sept were without having PCOS treated and it did work for me. I was going every 4 weeks. Oct and so on I was up to every 5 -6 weeks. But to answer your question (sorry I got side tracked) the hair will grow back between treatments but for me it is nothing like before. Only a few grow back and it is at the side of my chin which was my worse area. You will notice as a couple of treatments go by that it will be less and less growing back and even the pain of the lazer zap will be more bearable (except for the upper lip .....if you have that done.) My eyes water like crazy when the zaps hit up there. OOOOOOUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love lazer treatments. It may hurt a bit but I'll take the pain to look like a girl with no after 5 shadow and shaving 2 - 3 times a day.

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU AND YOUR LAZER TREATMENTS.

(((HUGS)))

Julie

P.S. I have noticed since taking metformin, my system must have got used to the 500mg because my hair will grow back a little faster now but it not corse and rough it is more like baby hair. Just some information you may want to keep in mind.

i m with you there Julie! My husband was looking at me the other day and he was stunned...he was muttering "its unbelievable". I am pretty sure he had no clue that he was talking aloud until I asked him what was unbelievable

Now, if I can only get my weight off!

wow do i wish I had the money to get laser treatments. That is I think the worst part of PCOS, well it might actually be a tie with IR/weight. I've been considering laser, is it really painful?

Btw, congrats on your results

It is only painful for the 15 minutes of the procedure and even then I didn't think it was too bad...not like labor pains

I have already completed my lasor treatments. I was actually lucky and got mine for free since my aunt was paying and the Dr. felt sorry for me, I don't know why, but she offered it, so of course I took it!

Mine too are dark and thick! I hate it!!! Each treatment only gets a certain % of the hairs, b/c it only gets the ones that still have the root b/c that is what the lasor aims for since it has color. I went through 5 treatments I believe and loved it...AT FIRST!

My eyebrows have done great! I still have to get waxed, but only like 1x a month, but before it was 1x a week! My sideburns, well they turned out worse! My aunt also had the same problems with her sideburns, I found that after the hair started growing back, it spread out. So it started spreading further down my jaw line, when before it was just by my ears. So because of that I'm not happy with those results, but of course all skin is different! but yes, some of it will grow back, b/c it kills the roots, but the others that dont have roots (which is most of them, that's why you need so many treatments) they get burned out, so it might take a few days-weeks to grow back, but yes some will come back....my only suggestion is to get them done as close together as you can. My Dr. said she thinks that's why my hair grew back b/c I gone all 5 of mine done over the course of a year, rather than 1x a month or whatever it should be....good luck!
