The main component of my PCOS is amenorrhea. I got my period once when I was 16 (9 years ago) and then I only get it if I'm on the pill. I haven't been on the pill since October, so I haven't had a cycle since then.

Well about 10 days ago I thought I'd go back on the pill. I took one pill (ortho tri-cyclen lo) and then decided I didn't want to continue with it. (Long story, but isn't a good time to be messing with my hormones right now.)

So anyway, today I got my period. Is that strange or what? Has this happened to anyone else? There'd be such a tiny amount of hormones in that one pill... would it even be physically possible for it to cause a cycle?

I have not ever heard of that happening , and it has personally never happend to me . but all I could think is that maybe your body was trying really hard to have a period and you gave it some hormone at the right exact time?! congrats on your period and i would consider taking the pill if i were you. to keep regular and avoid uterian cancer. good luck and congrats again!!! I think were the only women that get so elated about a period!!!
