One of THOSE doctors haha...sadly my endocrinologist is one of those doctors who thinks "all BCPs are the same because they all do the same thing." BUT the good news is that he still listened to me. I called to request a switch from the demulen (I'm having problems with) back to Yasmin, which I get along fine with, and he called back and said KINDLY that he didn't think it would make a difference, but he would be glad to change it and would call in a new prescription to my pharmacy right away. (Big Sigh of Relief*)
By the way, as a note to all of you asking about Yasmin: I was given Yasmin a while ago when my symptoms were bad, but had not been identified as PCOS. It worked for me immediately for regulating cycles and I lost about 10 lbs of swelling in my hands, face, and tummy right away. My skin looked so much better, too. I looked like a different person within a few weeks. And felt soooooo much better. My insurance covers only part of the cost, but I think going back on it will be worth the extra dough.
