Thread: One week and 2 lbs down on Met

Default One week and 2 lbs down on Met

Honestly, I haven't been taking it daily. I did two days in a row, then needed a break from it. I researched its composition online to see whats really in there. And its a derivative of Lilac's! Interesting how flowers are our medicine!!

I wonder if Lilac perfume would help loose weight too? Hmmm......

I have lost already two pounds! That is a shocker for me. I have been exercising one to three hours the last year almost daily, have become much stronger, but the weight continued upwards. 26 pounds in the last year- unbelieveable to me.

Now, on Met, I've lost 2 pounds in less than a week. I do feel a difference in my blood sugar level.

hth someone out there. I'm so happy I lost 2 pounds, YAY- YAY! I've been eating the South Beach Diet foods phase 1 and jogging/walking one hour a day. 500mg a day.

    That is awesome, congrats!

I'm in almost the same boat as you. I've been working out consistently since September and while I didn't gain any additional weight, I only managed to lose 5 lbs that whole time. I started eating low-carb 2.5 weeks ago and am now down another 3.5 lbs. I just started Met this weekend, so I'm hoping that will give me an extra boost too! It's good to hear that it's working for other people

doesn't it feel great to finally see a drop in weight? I have been working out 5 days a week for 2 hours and gained 5 pounds. I was so bummed about it I would cry everyday. I injured my foot about the same time I went on Met 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to workout. Yet I have lost 7 pounds! I haven't been watching my diet either. But have noticed that I don't crave sugar like I did and also don't feel hungry all the time. I know you must feel as excited as me to finally have found a solution! YA!!!

Thanks for all of your kind words. I'm getting through the first recognition stages of realizing I actually have this. One thing that is really weird is that I never noticed that my ovaries had some dull pain, and low and behold ever since the dx, I've noticed pain there.

When I review my life so far as a woman, I can see where this could have been going on for many many years un- dxed.

I just started met about a month ago and was really worried about the side effects. So far, I've only gotten mild side effects. But after the first two weeks, I noticed I have been dropping weight easier (and keeping it off). I used to diet all the time, but always gained what I lost rather quickly. I'm excercising, eating better and so far I've dropped about 10 pounds in the last month. I have a long way to go, but the metformin is definitely helping.

I notice when I take the Met I get a full stomach feeling, and so no hunger. And without taking it, my sugar level drops and I feel hungry again.

I really didn't think I was eating that much without the Met, but maybe so.
