a good friend at work came to me and broke down today because she says her husband has stopped having sex with her and is always secretly (he thinks) "enjoying himself" while being online. she says she has tried to talk to him about it but he won't discuss it. he is very loving and supportive in every other way. my friend is heartbroken and i have no idea what to say about it.... i tried to be a good listener.... anyone have any advice they would be willing to share?
O.k. 1st question...do they both go to church? If so...then maybe he would want to talk to the pastor about this...it is an addiction and a sin...If not...she has to bring this up with him...this can tear them apart...he needs to be willing to listen to her...I don't know what to say about this...but if she can just make him listen...maybe if she is Christian she can pray and work on herself...this is what I had to do...although dh did not have this problem he was working on his hobby more than he was being home, so a friend told me to stop bringing it up, pray and work on myself, and he will come around...sure he did...he is spending more time with me...we have better communication...he would not talk to me about it...once he saw that I was not nagging about, he saw how much he was doing with it...Good luck...

Sorry if I sound a little aggressive about this, it just really gets to me, I've been through it myself.
Yes the internet opens another avenue to cheat but I believe that these guys that cheat have it in them to begin with, the internet doesn't make them cheat. Unfortunately, my ex cheated on me multiple times (even while I was prego) and boy was he SLICK about it! I finally found the courage to leave him and move on, found a GREAT guy and we are now married and have kids.
My ex? Well his new wife is dealing with his cheating, she has kids with him and he is still doing the same thing behind her back. I say, "Once a cheat, always a cheat!"
These guys are scum in my opinion and I think the sooner a women can find the courage to move on and find someone who WILL treat them with respect the better!
I'm sorry to hear this might be affecting your friend, I will be praying for her!
