I'm getting very excited about the adoption process now.
I guess deciding to adopt is a lot like deciding to get pregnant, there's never gonna be a "right" time. Like if you wait to adopt or have a child you're never gonna do it if you wait to have enough money, etc. That's what my Mom says anyway.
I think we're just gonna do it and pray that the money is there when the time comes. Our families can definitely help us out, but man we hate to ask for help!! Like I said in an earlier post it always seems like coming up with the money is what always comes between us and having a child. But I think this time we're just gonna swallow our pride and do what we have to do.
We are still having a hard time deciding on an adoption agency to go with, but we have set a goal and we will have made our decision by the end of this month. We have to set a timeline or we're going to get bogged down in all of this paperwork I am receiving. There are soooo many agencies out there.
My sister is having her baby this Friday by C-Section (she's breach and not moving), so ladies I'm gonna need some support! This is really making by biological clock tick, tick, tick!
Onward adoption process!!!!
Thanks for listening,
Adrienne

Hi, Adrienne
I just wanted you to know that I am adopted and I have had such a positive experience! My parents adopted me after 9 years of ttc. They always told me that being adopted was so special, that God had picked me to be in this family even when I was growing in my birthmother. I have never met my biological mom but I have great respect for her, and what must have been an agonizing decision! But she did her best for me and I have had a happy life! Anyway God bless all of you, and good luck.
Jenny

I'm glad you saw my post. I haven't been around for a while. I was so bummed after my IVF failed, but now we've decided to move on in a positive direction.
Glad to hear you and Tabby are doing great and I wish you both good luck with your TTC journey!
Adrienne

Well your taking that first step....I'm happy for you guys....have you decided which route your going to go? Domestic or International, private, foster care? I just wish you all the best with everything. The begining of July is going to be a roller coaster ride for me, we have a lot to do before our son is born. We have to get adoption foster certified and have our homestudy done, contact information etc. This summer is going to fly by. Only 16 more weeks for us.
There will be ways for you to come up with the money. There are so many options and thank God for that adoption tax credit. That's a life saver.
Ever wanna talk just holler, wish you all the best with everything!! ((Hugs))
