I was just wondering what opinions are out there about Yasmin. Good and bad from people that are currently or have used it before. Is there anything big that I should know about it before I start taking it? If you didn't like which one did you end up using/liking more? Any help and opinions about Yasmin would be great! Thanks ladies!
Lots of Love! |

But now I'm totally confused about whether or not to get the generic. Its getting really mixed reviews, but those are from the folks whose bodies are already used to yasmin. And on the other hand some folks don't notice a difference at all. Decisions decisions. If anyone has an opinion please feel free to chime in! |

My Mood: Points: 371.96 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 371.96 | I had a really bad experience with Yasmin. The only good thing that happened when I was on it, I lost over 25 pounds and my skin was never clearer! I have been off them for 13 days , not feeling so great. I imagine the weight is just going to all come back? |

I just started taking it on Thursday. I got cold feet on Wednesday (day before AF was due) and started looking up Yasmin disaster stories. So I'm curious...
As I've only been on it a whopping three days, I have nothing really to add. However, my cramps have been ridiculously bad and my flow a little OTT. (Sorry, if that's too much info...) I'm assuming it's the luck of the draw and has nothing to do with Yasmin -- unless someone says otherwise. |

When I first started it I would feel a little nauseas, but then I never had any other problems. I really like Yasmin. My skin is really clear and I don't have the mood swings I used to have beore my period. Before I started Yasmin, my period would come whenever it wanted, with no warning, and it would be super heavy. Now my period comes every 28 days like clockwork, it is pretty light and lasts about 3 to 4 days. I switched to Ocella (the generic version of Yasmin) about a month and a half ago, and I haven't had any problems on it.

My Mood: Points: 3,871.79 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,871.79 | I took Yasmin for about 6 months before getting switched over to Yaz. The only reason my doctor switched me was the Yasmin seemed to make my blood pressure high. The only difference I've had since switching is a lower blood pressure, which is a good thing. Periods on Yasmin are supposed to be 7 days, whereas Yaz is supposed to be 4 days, so my periods on Yaz are a little shorter. So, I never had issues with Yasmin other than the blood pressure thing. Worked fine for me, regulated my periods, helped with unwanted hair and skin tags.
There's a risk with any BCP you take that it might not agree with you. I'm sure there are horror stories about every BCP out there, every one reacts to meds differently. It may take trying a few different ones before you find one that gets along with your system. And when you first start taking any BCP, you might have more severe cramps or heavy bleeding, or maybe the exact opposite, it's just going to take a month or 2 for your body to adjust. Don't get scared away if things are a little rough or different at first.
