Hello everyone, I had my follow up with my doctor yesterday. She said everything looked good and we could start TTC again (my D & C was in December). She will prescribe me Clomid after 2 cycles. She upped my Metformin from 1700 MG per day to 2550 MG per day. I have been feeling like I am ovulating and I took an ovulation test today and my test line is darker than my test line. I have never ovulated on my own before, I had to have the help of Clomid. My question is, could I really be ovulating this soon. I have not had a period since the D & C. I asked my doctor about my HCG levels and she said that there was a very slim chance that I still had any of the HCG hormone in my system.
I have heard of women getting pregnant shortly after having a D & C. My question is, has anyone else gotten a ++ OPK shortly after having a D & C? Any help would be appreciated. DH and I want to get pregnant more than anything and I am trying not to get too excited about this ++ test.

I doubt very highly you still have enough HcG in your system to test + on an OPK. Can you ask your doc to do a quant HcG for the actual numbers? At any rate, I would bet you dollars to donuts your are ovulating! So get to it ;-)
Also, I am living proof it is possible to ovulate on your own -- I did for like the first time ever in December! So, good luck to you and happy BD'ing!

Thanks, Jen. We are trying again ASAP. Went on Met a week ago, getting an HSG next Thursday, and will hopefully start o'ing soon. If the Met doesn't work we'll go on Letrazole too.
Thanks for responding, I took another OPK last night and the test line was WAY darker than the reference line. DH and I BD'd last night and this morning (sorry TMI) and used pre-seed. When we added preseed in October that was when we got our BFP. I am really feeling like I am ovulating (although I am not sure what it feels like as I have never done it on my own). I feel "different" and I am hoping that is a good sign. So my question becomes now, when do I test? Do I wait until my 6 weeks post D & C bleeding which is Feb. 8th or should I wait 2 weeks?
Also, do you ovulate after you are done bleeding from your D & C or from the actual D & C? My doctor told me to call 6 weeks from when I stopped bleeding, but to take a pregnancy test first. Yesterday was exactly 2 weeks from when I stopped bleeding. Sorry so many questions, I just don't want to miss anything!!

YAYAYAY! I say you definitely O'd. And, you know your body, you know when you feel different. I think it's great news.
If it were me, there's no way I could wait till Feb 8th. I would test in 14 days. If you can wait, more power to you! You are now officially in the 2ww! How freaking exciting!

If you need fertility help, I just wanted to say that when living in Indiana, we went to Advanced Fertility in Indianapolis. They were just great and we went away with our miracle baby! They are very good in dealing with PCOS and other issues.

Well I took a pregnancy test last night to make sure the HCG was out of my system (for my own piece of mind) and YEAH it was negative!! Hopefully in a couple of weeks when I do another pregnancy test it will be BFP!! I hope we timed it right!
