Cool OPK and Pregnancy test question

Hi ladies,

Ok, I have been searching around on here and found a few things I have ?'s about.

savontests.com I seen this link and looked on there. They are cheap there. How do you all feel about their pg tests and OPK?

Also, I currently have Answer brand opk test sticks. I know to start testing about cd 10 since I am on clomid cd 3-7. But do you have to test in the morning?

It's best to test in the AM, that is when the HCG will be most concentrated in the urine. They say that Early Response is the best brand for an early BFP. I've never heard anything about the Answer brand, but I'm SURE they are fine!! GOOD LUCK to you!!

i have not purchased any cheap pregnancy tests online, but i hear they're just as effective as what you can get in the store. many women advise checking the lowest level that hCG can be detected. i googled "pregnancy test hcg" and got a link to a detailed

(as of July 2007).

i also used the Answer test strips. instructions say you can not use FMU. urine needs to be concentrated, so you will need to have held your urine for 4 hours. it can be difficult, but not as hard as it sounds. when i used them, i would stop drinking liquids at the beginning of that 4 hour period. if i couldn't make it, i would pee in a water bottle (not suggested, very messy) and save it until i got home. if i didn't feel i held it long enough, i'd test twice that day.

Are you using OPK for Ov?

They say to use those in the afternoon after holding it in for three hours... usually. Something about the body processing the LH or something... I can't remember why. But almost all OPK's say to use them in the afternoon.

HPT are usually recommended for use with FMU, but I had better luck with afternoon/evening urine. Every woman is different.

I used the save on tests one... I didn't ever get a + but that's me... some woman have better luck.

I had their HPT and they didn't seem bad, I didn't use them when I was pg though... I used them a few days before another brand picked up a BFP.

HTH's some.

Taking a TTC break!

ME (31)
DH (33)
DD (3)
DD (1)

What it took to conceive:
Spearmint tea (mentha spicata)
Metformin 1500mg/day
Clomid 100mg CD 4-8

DD was conceived on CD45 after giving up on 100mg clomid and not taking provera like I usually would have while TTC. I now believe that PCOS can slow the body's reaction to hormones like clomid. WAIT TWO MONTHS before starting another cycle of clomid!!! Don't give up too soon, give that little baby a chance to implant!
