I was devastated and am still grieving, but I'm trying to focus more on the good things, like the fact that she was in my life at all. I had some really fantastic years with her. She was so cuddly and affectionate and would choose to be with me over anyone! How could I not fall completely in love with her? I am thankful that she was a part of our family and that I was the recipient of her love and affection. I am one lucky girl.

I too have pets and fear the day they pass especially my dog, but I wouldn't trade having my dog in my life for anything. They are so worth it.
Your right focus on all the good times. Remember the funny moments cause those are the best!

Sweetie Pie is absolutely gorgeous. Hold her in your heart. I'm sorry for your loss.
Huge hug,

Points: 619.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 619.00 | animals aren't just pets. They are family. I learned that working in a vet's hospital. If you only treat your pet as a pet, you never get to enjoy them. Treat them like family and it's wonderful. Half the time my dog and two cats end up being my counselors!!! I talk to them everyday. Tell them goodmorning, goodnight. I even ask how their day has been. I tell you what though, even on my saddest days when i felt like I couldn't even get out of bed, my animals have made me smile. They are wonderful therapy.
They are my children right now. And who knows, pets might be the only children my dh and I will ever have.
flutterby I feel your pain though. I just recently lost one of my cat's that I rescued from my neighbor hood. Poor baby just got so sick all of a sudden. Many (((hugs))) to you!!!
