Hi, another newbie here. I am looking for a PCOS friendly Dr in the Orange County, California area. The OB/GYNs that I have been too have diagnosed me and told me to loose weight before they would do further treatments and testing. I went to a nutritionist who basically told me there is no way I could eat the small portions I do and be as large as I am. I just need a Dr that will believe what I tell them. |

Hi. I grew up in Orange County, but wasn't diagnosed until I was over here. I don't really know anyone who is good (or bad), but if you wanted to try Chinese medicine, I could maybe recommend someone. My best friend (who is still in that area) swears her Chinese doc is fantastic. She keeps trying to get me to see this wonder doc. I guess it's TCM herbs and maybe some accupuncture/pressure. I can get the name,etc if you're interested.

katiwren...please post the info here so that all of us girls in OC that are interested in TCM can benefit.
I've been looking for someone in Orange County for some time now. I went to one guy, but didn't like him. I've even driven to San Diego, good doc...just too far to drive on a regular basis.

Just so peole know, I've not forgotten about this, but my friend has been out of town on a trial, and then her grandmother passed away. She wants to talk to her doc before giving out the name, etc, and hasn't had a chance.

Hi Katiwren, Butterfly Kisses & KDNRZ,
I use to live in Huntington Beach, but moved about 4 months ago. I use to go to Talber Medical Center in Fountain Valley. My Doctors name was Dr. Michael Robinson and he's not afraid to treat overweight women with PCOS. I wish I still had him but I switched jobs now I have Kaiser. HTH

Thank you Keshia! I checked and this Doc is actually available thru my Ins plan. I see you no longer take Met. Did this Doc prescribe it for you?

You are welcome! Yes he did! He even gave me the XR, which my stomache could handle better. But Cigna wouldn't cover it and it was expensive out the pocket every month.
