Well our orientation was last night and I am so happy. The social worker seems right on and I like how they really took the time to explain things and it's a go! They are mailing out our homestudy packet and then we'll go from there! I am so incredibly excited I just can't even begin to tell all of you.
Had it not been for this site I wouldn't of found the agency! I had been looking for an agency that I felt confidant in and nothing was sitting really well with me then of course all I had to do was ask my cysters!!!
Thank you all for the support! Now the journey begins!
I have a question for all of you. How does everybody feel about adopting a child of another race? Do you think it's better for the child to be with parents that they can identify racially with or does it really matter. We're caucasian so of course we've never experienced racial discrimination and I really think this is an issue that doesn't get enough discussion about. We wouldn't care what race the child is really but I want to do what is best for a child and I wonder about this. So what do my cysters think?
