Xenical (orlistat) can help overweight women with polycycstic ovary syndrome manage their weight, according to research published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism (2005; 90: 729-33).
The study found that women who took orlistat lost five times more weight (5 per cent of their bodyweight) than women treated with metformin (1 per cent of bodyweight). Both treatments reduced testosterone levels by similar amounts, the researchers say.

you have to be obese to get it and lose a few pounds before they give you it ,
then once you have it they set you a goal and a length of time if you dont loose then you dont get no more
or thats how it worked when i first got it but thats going back 2 years ago

Is this a diet pill? I have never heard of it. If it is is this cover by insurance? Or do I have to pay for it? Thanks.

Ive read that too (might have posted it before) and thought about taking it but I hear the side effects are pure hell! I may decide to take it when Im sure my Met side effects are completely gone.

Patricia: It actually blocks you from absorbing fat. So everything you eat with lots of fat comes out the rear end! Ewww. My doctor actually recommended it for me and I said no, cause I was getting Met and didnt want to be starting on both!!! That would be constantly!
