Default On Ortho-cyclen and AF came on day 25?!?!

I thought BCPs were supposed to make your cycles a regular 28 days!?! I got AF today... cramps and all and it was only day 25. So my cycle was only 24 days long. NOOOOO!! I can't stand AF as it is, but to have her every three weeks. I don't think so!! Plus, I've been steadily losing weight on Weight Watchers and then went on the pill and it stopped. Most weeks I even gained a bit. Why?? Should I try a different pill??

are you taking them consecutively or using the placebo pillls to get a period? There are 21 active pills and then 7 placebo. Most people get their AF somewhere between day 23-27 when taking the placebo week. If you are taking them consecutively, without a placebo week, maybe they are not high enough in progestin to keep you from cycling.

When I first started Ortho-Cyclen, it took me about 3 to 4 months before AF came when she was supposed to. The first few months, it came about a week early, cramps and all. If you have just started, give it a few months to see if you adjust.
