Hi there,
I am on Ortho Cylcen (it's actually just called Cyclen here in Canada, but it's the same thing). I've been on it for about 4 months or so, and so far, so good. I haven't had any problems with it. I get my periods like clockwork - on the Thursday of the week of the non-hormonal pills and it's over by the following Wednesday. I get the occasional cramp, but very manageable. I was on Diane-35 before this, and had terrible periods while taking it - really heavy, bad, bad, bad cramps, moodiness - it was all bad quite honestly - I'm glad to be off it. I've been on many BCP's over the years, and so far the Cyclen is working OK for me - nothing really negative to speak of. The BCP's that I have had the most trouble with over the years have been the lower estrogen ones. I think it's a good move to go from the Ortho Tri-Cyclen to the regular (mono-phasic) Ortho Cyclen - tri-phasics are typically not recommended (for the most part) for us PCOS ladies. Mono-phasic BCP's are usually a better choice for us.
