Ive been on ortho tri for 4 months so far so good.
Im having no unusal side effects .
It took a month in half to set in to make af go away.
After that it has been smooth sailing.
So its definitly worth a try.

Hello Mellymel
I know ur post is years old, but just wanted to know, if ur still around, if u went off the pill, how long did it take to wear off and if u tried to get pregnant, did the pill give u any trouble? I am currently on Ortho-tricyclen and am happy with it, but thinking of getting off to ttc.
Thanks
DJ

I was on the pill for 10 years, with Ortho Tricyclin being the last one. It took me within 6 months of going off of it to get pregnant. But I didn't actually try for the whole 6 months.
I was on ortho tri up till this August cause we are now ttc

I'm so sorry! I would have answered sooner, but I have been gone.
No, I must be one of the really lucky ones with PCOS. We weren't really trying. I just was tired of taking the pill, so I stopped. I asked my husband to do the pull out method , which we did for a couple of months. Then one month I was pregnant!
My second we tried for 4 months when I thought you were supposed to ovulate, I never got pregnant. Then one week after my period stopped, I get pregnant. (Another clue I had this, but had no idea what PCOS was to diagnose myself.)
My third was an "oops" baby. I got pregnant when the second one was only 7 months old.
So no, no meds on any of the pregnancies. I just got diagnosed this past week, so I wouldn't have known anything anyway if I wasn't getting pregnant. I just would have figured it wasn't meant to be, not realizing it was due to a problem.
Thanks unlucky I am glad that you were able to concieve 3 times naturally. We are trying to concieve naturally. If that doesnt work then we will resort to meds hopefully we dont have too . Wish me luck thanks again
