Default The Other Meet Up - New Thread

For some reason I couldn't post on the other thread!!!??? Weird... So here's my reply.

Yes, we're still on. My place - so Camberley or Farnborough train stations are good if you're coming from London and need a lift. Denis will pick up from the station and ferry to the house. Was talking with Naomi at the weekend and we reckon we'll all fit in my house and there's all the toys for the kids to play with so etc so it should be stressfree.

I suggest you aim to be here for lunchtime and we'll have lunch here. I'll do baked potatoes for everyone with various fillings. If your baby is too small to eat that then please bring an alternative for them. Can everyone could bring something with them... Drinks, biscuits, cakes, fruit etc....

So far we have...

Lisa
Naomi
Shellie (???)
Nyk
Carro
Heidi

Unfortunately Caz can't make it...

So...can everyone please confirm the following:

1. Are you coming?
2. Are you bringing your little one?
3. Are you bringing your partner?
4. Do you need a pick up from the station?
5. What you will bring...

Thanks muchly.

Paddy

Hi Paddy...
Thanks for the new thread - the board are completely messed up right now so I hope this reply works!!

Yes I am coming and yes I am bringing Georgie.... I do not think my husband will come. I'll be coming via train and I could probably walk from the station if you give me directions to save your husband picking us up?...

Not sure what I will bring yet but I will let you know....maybe some cakes???? Also I am not trying to complicate things but I can't eat potatoes because I'm low carbing how about I make up a salad and bring that along??

I'm going to PM you with my mobile number right now...if you could let me know yours and also I have no idea what you look like lol......are we all blind dating or we sharing pics before meeting?

Are we talking 1st December here? I got a bit confused with the different dates being thrown about in the old topic....

If so, then yes

Here's my answers...

1. Are you coming? Yes
2. Are you bringing your little one? Yes - he is a maniac, be warned lol
3. Are you bringing your partner? No
4. Do you need a pick up from the station? No Am driving, I will do a route online with your postcode nearer the time if that's ok Paddy?
5. What you will bring.. Lemonade & some chocolate fingers yummmyy. Am also low carbing so probably won't eat too much, no offence or anything!!! I would actually love nothing more than a jacket spud but will have to sadly decline boooo!

Shellie & Nyk - Don't worry, I'll do you up a salad instead of spuds. In fact if it's only the four of us we might as well all have salad.

Nyk - I'll email you directions from the station. If it's raining or if you'd just rather have a lift either Den or Owlie will pick you up. Thanks Owlie!

Would it be easier for you to come to Reading (30 mins from Paddington) and get a lift there with me? I think it's about 45 mins drive from here...

I agree with Shellie, I would expect one of the changes would be at Reading anyway, she could pick you up from Reading station and bring you there?

Farnborough is only about an 8 minute drive and Denis is happy to collect you if you wish. Reading might be handier if you will have to go on the tube anyway.

Thanks for the Offer SHellie - Reading is easy for me to get to... Paddington is actually the one of the easiest national rail link stations in london for me!! and only 25 mins on the train - my only query would be car seats for the car... I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have 2.... is it far from Reading? I don't think I could manage Georie and her car seat, even without her buggy... what do you think?

oh I just saw you said 45 min drive from there...G better be a car seat then really.... I'll have to get her car seat out and see how easy it is to carry... as we don't have a car it rarely gets used...and also could you get me and G in your car as well as your little one??

We'll sort it out! I'll get there somehow!
