OUCH! Serious red hives after first laser removal Hi girls. I finally bit the bullet and went yesterday for my first laser hair removal treatment. I was very happy with how it really didn't hurt -- it was nothing compared to the electrolysis that I have tried in the past. And, I can see the hair falling out, but my problem is that I have serious red hives that are burning and swollen - especially on my chin.
How long does this sort of rash last? I am icing and putting aloe vera on constantly, but ouch!!! Fortunately, I had 2 days off from work because I don't think I could go out in public like this. Is this a normal reaction?
Thanks!
EDIT: Well, I called the doctor and know why I was having trouble...I was having an allergic reaction to the aloe vera. So, I have new drugs and the hives aren't as itchy and swollen, but I am still swollen and nasty. Not sure if I can go through this again!
