Our baby girl was born Monday August 2nd at 5:44 PM. My niece had to have a c-section, I was with her the whole time.
Kylie Renee weighed 8 lbs 12.5 oz, was 19 inches long, had a 15 inch head and 13 inch chest! She has a headful of black hair and she is so incredibly beautiful!! I started crying when I heard her first cry. We are so happy! We came home from the hospital yesterday, and last night discovered she has colic. Needless to say I am very tired right now, but would not trade it for anything! I will post pictures as soon as possible. My niece will be flying back home on Wednesday. She has to have her staples removed Monday morning. We are all so very happy.

Oh, and try out the miracle blanket. It really helped soothe my colicky baby. It was very much worth the cost!!! Come on over to the mommy board when you have any questions.
Your life will be completely different from now on. It is the most wonderful change and I am sure you will enjoy being a mother as much as I have!!!
We can't wait to see pictures!!!!!
Congrats again!!!

As for the colic....get the book "Happiest Baby on the Block" by Dr Karp (I think his first name is Harvey??) and go to slumbersounds.com and order the Swaddle Me blanket. It's cheaper than the Miracle Blanket and I think it works better--it has velcro so that you can get baby swaddled up tight. I could never get ds swaddled tight enough in the Miracle Blanket and he always managed to wiggle out of it. Not so with the SM blanket. Also, get a "sound spa" white noise maker. We still use it in ds's room....went to my mom's for a few weeks and didn't bring it with me. He would not sleep!! Had to buy another one just so we could all get some sleep.
