We have made a final decision about our adoption. We have decided to proceed with another referral because the orphanage has been unable to reach Kacie's family. Neighbouras tell them that her family is away at a funeral. We have let the orphanage know that if ever she comes back or they reach her family, we still want her. We know how slim those chances are, but we would also be overjoyed to adopt 2.
I feel like my heart is broken down and mending all at once, if that makes sense. I believe dh and I have grieved the loss of Kacie and can now look forward to another adoption.
Thanks so much for all your prayers and thoughts. We know they made a difference even though the outcome was not what we hoped for.

You have to do what is best for your family and the only way you can heal is to grieve and when you are ready, move forward. That sounds just like what you are doing. I'm sending you some to brighten your day and know that I'm thinking of you.

awh Keltie - I am glad at your decision. Things happen for a reason and hey, if this gets Kacie (Monica) back with her mother who now more then ever loves and appreciates her and will take the best care of her as possible (granted nowhere near the care you could have given her but..), maybe that is what you were meant to do.. and now you are giving another child a chance at a better life. You & Blake are strong and yeah.... I am always here for ya Hun!

I know this is the outcome you wanted when you first started the process. I pray for all hearts involved to be mended and healed and you will be blessed with the child(ren) God has planned for you.

I'm gonna stop looking back and starting moving on
And learn how to face my fears
Love with all of my heart, make my mark
I wanna leave something here
Go out on a ledge, without any net
That's what I'm gonna be about
Yeah, I wanna be running
When the sand runs out
