Well, we worked so hard getting everything ready and .................it paid off. Our caseworker was happy with everything.

All we need is one more fire extinguisher (?). She was really happy with the room we have fixed up.

She said now that to get the homestudy written up and everything put in the computer we are on hold for about a month. So we are looking at the first of May before we are licensed and can take in foster children if we choose.

She did say that we can look at the available chilren now and let her know if we are interested in one of them.

It looks like we are on our way, I can't believe I panicked so badly and the homestudy was such a breeze.


Thanks to all of you who have helped get me this far, and I look forward to sharing more good news soon.

Congrats Stacy!! Isn't it nice to have the homestudy over and done with!! And to think we all panicked about it when it truly is a breeze! Sounds like you are on your way!!

Yay !

It *is* such a relief to get it over and done with when we stress so much !

We are in the process of our 2nd homestudy (for domestic) and I am STILL stressed about it LOL

I guess it never gets easier, but I think the relief is the same
