Default Our President (Not war related)

Not everyone is fully behind our president due to political or other
reasons but the following should be an eye opener for all. He is our
President. Whether you actually like George W. or not.... This has some
interesting thoughts...

Thank you so much for this post. Prayer is the right thing for our President at this time. He has asked for it. He said that one of the things that sustains him through this is knowing christians are praying for him. I try to pray for him daily and will continue to do so. Thanks again,

Sister in Christ,
Keri

Thank you Ramona!

It does my heart good to see that our President is being afforded the respect he deserves, especially during this difficult time for our country- and our world.

God Bless America and our President!

I am very impressed by the human touches you described and by the fact that a leader is a committed Christian.

I think God's plans are unable to be discerned and that we can not know if this war is his plan and purpose or not. So, to blanket oppose it without proper prayer I think is hasty.

I admire America and it's people. I spent 4 months in the States travelling around and everyone was so friendly and hospitable and the men are such gentlemen! Complete strangers were helping me with my bags and asking for nothing in return. (You should see the average Aussie guy!).

So, please understand when I say this. I am deeply troubled by the war as are we all. I think Saddam is a very, very evil man and how we would have dislodged him without war I have no answer to. But, I am just really upset about the idea of prisoners of war being tortured. Death doesn't even bother me as much as that. I am just not convinced that President Bush made the right decision.

His speech where he said that he was determined never to allow anyone to ever threaten America's dominance also disturbed me. Surely a more moral approach is to ensure that noone in any country is ever threatened and that the rights and security of every person in every country should be honoured? I think this pushing of USA dominance over any other country is concerning and his speech stated this.

Were I ruled by Saddam, I am not sure that I would want my family killed or maimed in order to "free" us. I would perhaps be offended that another country decided that on my behalf.

A president must be judged by his big decisions and his little ones.

It is normal to love the country that is your birthplace and your home. But, let us not confuse Christianity with America. Our Lord and the kingdom we belong to is not of this world.
