I keep meaning to post an update on our adoption, not that there is much new to report...
We went for our agency interview on October 27th and it was at that point that we became officially paper ready! Our dossier has been translated and is now in Russia. We have been told to expect a referral in February and the waiting is brutal... at one point it looked like we might get a December referral, but that hope is gone with the holidays looming and I was told that there would be no referrals in January... so if it come early in February then I will have a great b-day present.
All is well.. we are just waiting... and waiting... and waiting...
Janie

Things are progressing nicely for you!! How exciting!!
I know the wait is difficult but you know what? I never, ever believed I would say this: As soon as you see your little one's face and get that referral call this whole wait will disappear! It's amazing, but true!
Now I need to go post a little vent about my situation! LOL

try to do things with dh and with yourself that you wont be able to do after. have a massage, pedicure, go on a weekend retreat with dh.
once it happens, even the referral, you will be too preoccupied with getting ready. Feb is not very far away. only about 8 weekends left to do non baby things. go dancing girl!!!
Waiting is always brutal...its part of it I guess unfortunately...
Its not easy but it does go !!!
Congrats on your progression
Amy
