You should send them an email and bring it to their attention that they totally overlooked a HUGE population of women and a topic with more that needs to be shared with the general public than what they presented. Make them aware!

Ovarian Cysts and PCOS cysts are not the same thing which is probably why it was only mentioned in passing.

I agree with that. My Doctor tried to explain that to me not too long ago.
I just wanted to let everyone know that PCOS was mentioned but it didn't have to be...considering they were talking about Ovarian cysts..and you wouldn't believe how many women get these and they don't have PCOS.
Not surprising at all. When I had my cyst removed last year, the oncologist who did it said that it was in no way related to my PCOS. PCOS is an endocrinological disorder, and ovarian cysts such as what I had removed are something totally different.
You can have ovarian cysts without ever having PCOS and you can have PCOS without ever having ovarian cysts (like dermoid, complex, simple fluid filled, chocolate cysts, tumors, fibroid cysts, etc...)
So, two totally different and only occasionally coincidentally related health issues.
