Hi hun, I just had my ovarian drilling done on Friday and am now recovering. I also had a hysteroscopy and a laparoscopy done at the same time. Please feel free to ask me if you have ANY questions at all. Wishing you all the best.

Yes, I went in as a day case on the Friday. I was home by tea- time which was great. It took me a long time to recover from the anaesthetic- my head still feels a little funny and I am still quite drowsy. The pain hasn't been too bad although I had bad shoulder pain the first couple of days. They sent me home with some good pain killers though. I still feel a little sore and I am definitely slower. I haven't been out or anything yet and daren't drive yet as I know my reactions are pretty slow still. They advised me to take 1 to 2 weeks off work. I booked off the first week but I am going to call them today and take off next week as well. However, I am a primary school teacher so it is quite a physical job and I don't feel I'll be ready to be on my feet all day sorting out a class of kids next week. I had a hysteroscopy and a laparoscopy done at the same time though so I wonder if that's why it's taken me a little while to recover. You will be fine though. They are great at the hospital. Let me know if you want to know anything else. Best wishes honey! xoxoxoxo
