What is Ovarian Drilling all about? I have heard bits and pieces about it. Does it really help? Has anyone had this? Is it a cure? How painful can it be?

I had ovarian drilling done because I was ttc at the time and my dr thought it might help. She basically told me they would drill dozens of little holes in my ovaries so that hopefully my eggies would be able to escape their prison.:o I don't know how it helps with general symptoms though because I didn't have as many back then.

I can't tell you one way or another if it works, but I am having it done tomorrow. I have been told that it has been shown to lower hormones to a more "normal" level. Who knows, good luck I will let you know after tomorrow about the procedure itself.
