Red face Ovarian Drilling /lap/hsg tomorrow - aaaarrrghh!

Hi everyone, sorry I've not been around for a bit, had my parents staying! DH is better & back at work and my surgery got rescheduled for tomorrow!! I'm a bit nervous - more of what they might find, rather than the anasthetic. My friend at work had hers last month and found both tubes were blocked - a nightmare situation! Oh god please not me too!

In a way I am also hoping that they find cystic ovaries (I have all the other symptoms!) and do the drilling - I wont know until I wake up. I still have not had a period since November and I am a year on ttc from where I thought I'd be. I want to get back in the race!

Just thought I'd say hi
Dawn

Fingers crossed for you Dawn. I hope it all goes well. It probably seems like a nightmare right now, but after you've had the op, at least you'll know more eh. Be strong. Love Babe x

Hi Guys! Thanks for all your messages! Well, I survived!! Bit sore - feel like I had a kicking - and NOBODY WARNED ME ABOUT THE SORE THROAT! The nurses were trying to get me to eat TOAST and I could hardly croak! A tip for anyone else having one, take a yoghurt with you!!

The bad news is that they didn't do OD - apparently I ovulated last week, now isn't that typical after 4 months! So he has sent me home with provera and 100mgs of clomid! I think has plan is to try to kick start me, he doesn't want to see me until 8 weeks. Perhaps he's hoping that if I o on clomid it might shock my body back into sync??

Bit suprised about the 100mgs, and a bit nervous - any suggestions on minimising side effects would be gratefully received!

So, at least I'm back in the race, and well, hopefully I may not make it to that next appointment!!

Dawn

Hi Dawn,

Shame you had to get that far to discover you O'd but what great news huh!!!

I was a bit surpised at 100mg too but guess they no what they are doing..

I fell on my first month of Clomid and am now 6+6 wks PG, I had most of the bad side effects and my best amo was knowing about them, informing DH that I might turn into the ***** from hell (which I did) and trying to remember I was one step nearer and heading the in right direction, that may sound simple and silly but it was really hard for me to focus.

I will let you know my Clomid story ha ha, Started day 2 and cont for about 3 weeks I had headaches, weepy, nausea/sickness, weepy, blurred vision, weepy, emotional, weepy ha ha, ext bad stomach pains, lack of concentration, loss appitite (food+bed), confusion, angry, swollen belly, dry mouth and I O'd which was the most painfull experience I have had but that was my baby so it was all worth while... Not telling you this to scare you as some women get no or very little side effects I hope you are one of those, but I cant imagine anything worse than being there and having not of known, I hope I havent pee'd you off!!
Keep remembering that you are one step closer to holding your baby and please mail or email me if you need me... Also BDing every day isnt good, every 2nd day is best as sperm will be stronger......

Take care and good luck
