i had what i'd call a "dull discomfort" of both ovaries but more so on the right while I was on Clomid and for a few days after.

I had some discomfort for the first few days on the Clomid and by day three it was horrible. My dr. sent me for an ultrasound and found a big cyst and pulled me off. I would say the discomfort is pretty normal as long as it does not get painful. If it gets painful stop the Clomid and call your dr. because you could have a cyst and it would be bad to continue. I have, so far, taken 2 doses of clomid (about to take the 3rd), and MAN, have I been feeling my ovaries today! I hope it means the clomid is doing its job!!!

Clomid 50mg CD3-7
Ultrasound on Day 15 - Follicles there, but not big enough, gave me new prescription for Clomid
Clomid 100mg - pretending that Day 16 was Day 3
Ultrasound on "Day 13" - HUGE follicle on right ovary (18 millimeters!!) - HCG shot!!
Maybe this is a dumb question, but how do you know it's your ovaries that hurt? I'm terrible at identifying the source of any lower abdominal pain.

Not sure how to describe. you know your uterus is straight above your vaginal area and then the ovaries are on each side...your uterus is small when not pregnant so if you feel a little twinge or discomfort in that lower area to each side this could be your ovaries. Your appendix is on your right side so sometimes pain could be that. i am aware probably due to having cysts in the past and pregnancy. Often my ovary discomfort radiates up to my hip area

Unless you're like me and had appendicitis and no longer have your appendix.
