Ok I just had my pelivc ultrasound the only thing I could tell was the ovaries were just over 2 (cm?) and equal size. Does anyone know what ovaries are like with pcos? Is it possible to have normal ovaries and still have pcos? I should get the results in a couple of days

I'm pretty sure that I have seen other women write about having "normal" ovaries and still having PCOS.
Perhaps someone else can shed more light on this than I can.

You can have normal ovaries and still have PCOS. (Me personally, I do have the polycystic ovaries, but you don't have to have them to have PCOS).

I have normal ovaries and I have PCOS. When I had my ultrasound and they told me that my ovaries were normal, I asked the dr if that meant that I don't have PCOS. He said no, it doesn't mean that, you have PCOS. Shoot. From what I've read since then, PCOS is more of an endocrine disorder that can affect your reproductive organs, not the other way around. That's why a woman can have all the hormonal symptoms, but not have polycystic ovaries. I'm guessing that from what I've read, since the dr didn't offer up that information. He was an obgyn and I should have seen an endocrinologist. I haven't seen one of those yet because I'm just sick of doctors.
