I had a vaginal ultrasound a couple of months ago. My right one was normal 1.9 cm but my left one was over 5 cm. It turns out I had a large cyst on my left ovary but it went away. Woot!
i wasnt sure what "normal" was for ovaries, but i know when i had my ultrasound done my left was defienently smaller than my right, and they both didnt have cysts on them.
1.9cm?!
I was told my left ovary was over 8cm. No wonder my left side hurts all the freaking time.

Kim you might want to get that checked. They usually go away on their own after a few menstrual cycles, but since yours is that big I would talk to your doctor about it.
I cut caffeine from my diet and I also started taking fish oil. Not sure if that was what made the cyst go away or if it just went away on its own. I feel great after making those changes though.
I just did a little research. I read that "normal" is 1.3 to even 3, but when my doctor read the results she said "your right one is normal, 1.9 cm." So I guess there's a range of what's normal for every woman.
Thanks Annie. I just might talk to my gyno on my next visit. I haven't had an ultrasound done in almost 2yrs so who knows how big it is now. My periods aren't regular yet, only happening every few months.
