Default Overcompensating

Do you find yourself overcompensating for some area of your life that is affected by PCOS? For example, do you find yourself trying to be "employee-of-the-month" at work to compensate for your weight so that people won't think that you're fat and lazy?

Do you find yourself overachieving at church or in the community to compensate for not having children?

Do you find yourself spending more time on your hair and makeup than most people do to compensate for hirtuism or hair loss?

If yes, do you see these behaviors as an indication that you have underlying insecurities, or do you see them as an indicator that you are determined to live a fulfilling life in spite of PCOS?
