Default ovulating???

I think this is a pretty basic question but I can't seem to find any info on it so I thought I would tap into the vast knowledge of the women on this site.
I used to have irregular periods - usually about 8 weeks apart. I had ovarian drilling done in October and since then I have pretty much been on time. Twice my AF was about a week or two late but other than that I've been on time within a few days. We're not currently doing any fertility treatments - more going with "if it happens now, great - if not we'll do fertility treatments in the near future" approach. So what I'm wondering is if AF is on time, does that mean I'm ovulating? Or could it just be that my hormones are better than they were and so the timing is better but I'm not actually releasing an egg? (I'm currently not on meds but am doing a low GI diet)
Any info would be great!!!
Thanks

You could be ovulating but its hard to say for sure. The best way to find out would be to chart your temps. I recommend the book Taking Charge of your fertility. It teaches you soooo much about your body. It looks long, but its a quick read and you can skip some parts that don't apply to you. Or, you can go on www.fertilityfriend.com although I like the book much better, I think its less confusing. However, if I had to guess (and I'm no expert) I would guess that if your periods are coming about 28 days apart that you probably are ovulating. Best of Luck!

Hi
I was having regular cycles but then discovered through charting my BBT that I was not ovulating... However, I hope you are!! I have also heard great things about the book Taking Charge of your Fertility. Dgreen

Since I started treatment for PCOS, I began getting clear as day ovulation symptoms....which leads me to believe I never really ovulated before because I would have remembered these symptoms! My #1 symptom being lots of stretchy egg white discharge, and really sore boobs. I've heard some other people feel pains in one side for a couple of hours when they are ovulating. But everyone is different and not everyone gets symptoms. So you should probably try charting your BBT.
