Default ovulating the day after last clomid pill.

I was on cycle day 43 with no ovulation when my gyno put me on clomid. I started it with no period. 50mg.

I was told to count the day I started it as cycle day 2 and take it to cycle day 6. I finished taking my last pill yesterday and this morning I've had heaps of CM and what I remember to be ovulation pains.

I know you're not supposed to ovulate until at least 5 days after the last pill but I'm wondering if it could be different because I started it without a period on a really long cycle?

You should go to the drug store and purchace an ovulation kit. This way you know for sure. Good luck.

Hmm, I've never heard of anyone starting Clomid without a bleed before. I always thought you had to have a period to start it because otherwise the uterine lining may not be adequate to receive a fertilized embryo? I could be wrong though, I'm no doctor...

Anyhoo, Clomid can affect your CM throughout the cycle so you are not necessarily ovulating just yet. I would definitely purchase an ovulation predictor kit. They can be a great guide to help you pinpoint your O day, but are no exact science, that's for sure! I can tell you First Response was great and was always clear for me.

Good luck to you!!

Yeah. I don't use opk because they're nearly always positive. Yeah I was confused as well but my gyno explained that it's okay to do if you haven't ovulated yet.

I guess I'll just wait for my temp to spike up!
