I have a question about your period. I have been reading a lot that women have been having periods for a certain number of months in a row, but that they have only ovulated once of twice. I thought that everytime you have a period, it's because you are ovulating. I have to take prometrium to have a period, so does that mean that because I have to induce it, I'm not really ovulating? I'm confused about all this. Can somebody please explain all this to me.
When you take provera, it doesn't make you ovulate, just makes you shed that old lining. I have been told that if you don't ovulate, you either won't get a period or will only have light breakthrough bleeding. HTH
OK, let me ask this again but in a different way. How can you tell if your ovulating, or just having a period? And if your not ovulating, but taking something to make you have a period, how do you make your body ovulate?
I guess I'll have to add that to my list of things to talk to the doctor about for my next visit. I would really like to have children eventually, so I'm just wondering if my not ovulating now will have anything to do with in the future. Plus the fact that I'm having to have periods induced, makes me wonder what else can be done to force ovulation.
I have been told that Clomid can help with ovulation, but I never ovulated so i'm not sure about that. Injectibles (Follistim) are the only things that ever made me ovulate on my own. Yeah, i'd ask your doctor though. Can't get pregnant w/out an eggie
