Don't know if this would be the right place for these questions, but here it goes.....
One – Is it possible to ovulate in one ovary and not the other? I ask b/c of the ultrasound I had last week. The results showed cysts on the right and ovulation on the left (I’m taking that there were not cysts on that side). My thinking was that the cysts form b/c of incomplete ovulation and that’s why it’s only on one side b/c maybe I don't ovulate from that side? Two – How do you know when you ovulate? That is besides the raise in temperature. Can it make you feel sick to your stomach? I felt so sick the first part of last week and don’t know if it was from nerves (waiting on the ultrasound results) or something else. Are there any other signs that you’ve noticed? I also had slight pain on the left where I normally don't, usually only the right side gives me pains.

Can't wait to start WW again and loose the other 15lbs I gained with the last pregnancy and the 30lbs I still needed to lose with the first one.

Starlite, I only ovulate from my left ovary...even on Met, my right's not in great shape.
I don't know if ovulating can cause you to feel sick. It makes sense that it might, because of the hormone changes...I don't feel any pain in the ovary I ovulate from, but some women do.
If you're asking to start TTC, there's a great forum on here where they're PROS at these questions.

Thanks Viv. I didn’t know if it was possible to ovulate in just one or not. I’m not TTC yet, I was just trying to figure this out. I’ll be getting married in September, and we’d like to start then I want to be prepared when that time comes incase we have troubles. Do you believe it will be harder if it is the case of only one working?

I don't know. It took 8 years for us to get pregnant with Rivi, but we weren't actively TTC, and I wasn't taking care of myself. Once I found out about PCOS and started eating right/exercising, I started ovulating.
I think only O'ing from one ovary might mean that it takes longer, but I wouldn't think it would make it impossible. You might have to pay more attention to your basal body temperature, etc....but you should still get there, if you're O'ing at all.
